Aron Zhou

Biography

Aron Zhou is a devoted classical music enthusiast who explores the many ways classical music can be interpreted and performed. He began learning the piano as a child and earned his ARSM diploma in piano performance in 2026. He is especially drawn to Romantic piano repertoire and is an ardent Rachmaninoff fan.

A brass player at heart, Aron also studies the tenor horn and trombone. His love of brass instruments even helped him secure a university offer when he wrote about it in his application essays. At PHantasia, he has also conducted Saint-Saëns’s Danse macabre.

Aron currently continues his piano studies with Professor Hao Huang at Scripps College. His dream is to learn one concerto in each of his four university years (current progress: 0/4). He also plays trombone in the Claremont Concert Orchestra and dreams of studying conducting with its conductor.
